ESAB 7018 Welding Electrodes are premium low-hydrogen, basic-coated electrodes designed for high-strength, all-position welding. Classified under AWS A5.1 E7018-1H4R / E7018H4R, these electrodes deliver exceptional weld quality with diffusible hydrogen levels below 4.0 ml/100g, ensuring strong and crack-resistant welds.
Suitable for AC and DC+ welding, these electrodes are ideal for structural steel, pressure vessels, shipbuilding, heavy fabrication, and carbon-manganese steel welding. With a minimum AC OCV requirement of 65V, ESAB 7018 ensures stable arc performance and smooth operation.
The electrodes offer impressive mechanical properties with tensile strength up to 580–590 MPa, yield strength around 500–510 MPa, and excellent elongation (29–30%). Their Charpy V-Notch impact values remain strong even at low temperatures (up to -50°C), making them perfect for demanding industrial environments.
Available in multiple diameters (2.4mm, 3.2mm, 4.0mm), they provide efficient deposition rates ranging from 0.9 kg/h to 1.77 kg/h, ensuring productivity and consistency during welding.
